Become a Buckley’s Bees Beekeeper

… and help us manage our hives across the UK.

In our newest and most ambitious campaign so far, we are working with responsible businesses who want to make a positive difference to the world we live in.

As part of this, our national campaign will see the establishment of low-density hives being placed throughout the UK.  We will be balancing this with increased food sources, along with wider considerations for the environment and other pollinators.

There are many things that make our work different.  First is our genuine passion to play our part in helping to reverse the decline of the honeybee, along with other pollinators.  Second, while we love the sticky stuff, we aren’t doing this for commercial honey production (although we would like to see more than the current 14% of honey sold in the UK being British … and also being genuine honey).

We also promote positive breeding for behaviour, good temperament and hygiene, as well as a focus on increasing local breeding and, in particular, Apis Millifera Millifera.

Bee part of our passion

We are looking for passionate beekeepers, whether hobbyist or professional, UK-wide to join us in this significant project on either a casual, part-time or full-time basis.

Just like the bees, our beekeepers are busiest from April – September, undertaking weekly hive and bee inspections, making sure the colonies are fit, healthy and functioning properly.

Out of season, our beekeepers still have an important job to do and will typically visit the colonies they manage once or twice per month.

We offer attractive rates of pay, flexible working hours, mileage expenses and other benefits.
