Sponsor a Beehive: Remote Environmental Action for Your Business

Partner with Buckleyโ€™s Bees to safeguard native pollinators, restore vital habitats and deliver meaningful ESG impact without needing outdoor space.

Trusted by UK sustainability leaders

Powerful Conservation Impact, Wherever Your Business Is Based

Not every organisation has its own corporate grounds suited toย hosting honeybee colonies. Urban office towers, restricted industrial parks and multi-tenant commercial facilities often lack the green footprint required for on-site hives.

Through our Sponsor a Beehive corporate programme, your business can directly drive the restoration of Britainโ€™s native honeybee population, enrich local biodiversity and support wild pollinators from afar.

We site, establish and fully tend to your own dedicated hives within our protected regional apiaries across the UK. Your business receives complete brand alignment, comprehensive digital assets, impact data and content to share your environmental journey confidently with customers, clients and stakeholders.

Why Sponsor a Beehive with Buckleyโ€™s Bees?

1. Direct Conservation of Native UK Species

In 1900, over one million active beehives populated the British countryside. Today, habitat destruction, pesticide usage and changing landscapes have reduced that number to fewer than 270,000.

Commercial honey operations often import non-native queens for short-term gain. At Buckleyโ€™s Bees, we do things differently. As proud members of the British Beekeepers Association (BBKA) and the Bee Improvement and Bee Breedersโ€™ Association (BIBBA), our focus is strictly on conservation and natural resilience. Your sponsorship funds the breeding, establishment and health management of native dark honeybees that are well suited and thrive in our British climate.

2. Beyond the Hive: Landscape-Scale Restoration

Honeybees do not exist in isolation, as they are part of a delicate ecological system. When your company sponsors a hive, a portion of your investment directly supports wider habitat creation and wild pollinator projects.

This includes our active involvement with initiatives such as the Exmoor National Park Authorityโ€™s โ€˜Sowing the Seedsโ€™ project, where we help restore species-rich wildflower meadows. By expanding natural forage, your sponsorship strengthens conditions for native including bumblebees, solitary bees, butterflies, hoverflies and many more besides.

3. Science-Led Stewardship

We actively collaborate with leading researchers, universities and scientific studies focused on bee health, disease resistance and environmental changes. By joining our sponsorship network, your business plays a direct role in furthering vital pollinator research and environmental education.

Our Nature-First Honey Promise

Honey is the vital fuel that bees create to survive the harsh British winter. We operate under a strict, ethical beekeeping ethos: we only ever harvest true surplus honey. While a fair British summer can yield a wonderful harvest, we never guarantee a specific quantity. By partnering with us, your business openly signals that you put the health and wellbeing of the colony ahead of commercial exploitation.

Corporate beehive FAQs

Yes, absolutely. Our Sponsor a Beehive solution is designed specifically for sites without suitable green space. We establish and care for a dedicated native colony within our protected regional apiaries on your behalf.ย

Hosting a Hive involves siting managed colonies directly on your corporate grounds, improving local biodiversity, giving your employees, stakeholders and clients direct access to on-site beekeeping days and interactive visits.ย

Sponsoring a Hive places your dedicated colony in one of our private, off-site breeding apiaries. Both options include full hands-off professional management, custom branding, engagement opportunities, client portal access and ESG reporting.

Commercial operations often import non-native honeybee subspecies for short-term honey yields, which dilute local genetics and can struggle in the British climate. Your sponsorship directly funds the breeding, establishment and healthcare of native honeybees (Apis mellifera mellifera). As proud members of BIBBA and the BBKA, we focus on rebuilding resilient native stock that has evolved to thrive naturally in our climate.

Our primary commitment is always to the health and survival of the colony. Honey is the vital natural fuel bees produce to endure cold British winters, so we operate under a strict nature-first policy: we only ever harvest true surplus honey. When a season yields a genuine surplus, we present your company with custom-labelled jars bearing your corporate branding for client gifts or internal rewards.
