Why we champion British queens and bees
We are passionate about the role of the honey bee within our ecosystem. While many queens in the UK are imported, we believe the best path to bee health is through local adaptation bred from stocks within the UK.
- Bred for Temperament: We select for "calm on the comb" traits, making our queens a joy for both hobbyists and commercial beekeepers to work with.
- Traceable Lineage: Every queen we produce is bred in the UK, never imported. We provide full transparency on her origin and mating status.
- The 2026 Standard: Our queens are marked with the international colour for 2026 (White) and are sent in breathable introduction cages with attendants.

Whilst we breed for native genetics, our queens are open-mated, so we cannot control the mating process.
