✨ Fresh from the hives at Bentley ✨ We’ve ju ✨ Fresh from the hives at Bentley ✨
We’ve just delivered the latest batch of pure, site-harvested Bentley Honey, created by the thriving bees we’ve bred and cared for from day one.

As Bentley’s dedicated beekeepers, we take pride in nurturing every colony to bring Bentley honey that’s as authentic, local and delicious as it gets.

Each hive is ruled by its own queen and every one of them has her own distinct traits and personality.
What makes it even more special is that every queen comes from our own breeding lines - over 60 years of dedication to strengthening and preserving our native honeybee.

🐝 Pure. Delicious. Bentley Honey. 🍯
🐝 A Big Step Forward for Our Treatment-Free Bee 🐝 A Big Step Forward for Our Treatment-Free Bees! 🐝

Spotted at the hives a couple of days ago: our bees were removing the exoskeletons of larvae likely infested with Varroa. While it might look unusual, this is actually fantastic news — it’s a clear sign of hygienic behaviour and strong Varroa-resistant traits in our native breeder colonies.

This colony is on a solid floorboard and why you can see so many more outside the entrance of the hive, we’re sure the bees are clearing out the Varroa mites too on the solid floors. Whereas varroa mesh floorboards the mites drop through.

This natural response is exactly what we aim for in sustainable, treatment-free beekeeping. Seeing our bees actively manage Varroa themselves is a real step forward in building resilient, self-sufficient colonies. 🌿💛

Proud of our bees and the progress they’re making toward a healthier future!
