🌟 Thrilled to share some EXCITING news!🌟 We’re ab 🌟 Thrilled to share some EXCITING news!🌟

We’re absolutely delighted to announce that our CEO, Emma, has been selected as a finalist for Female Entrepreneur of the Year at the Small Business Awards!

Emma said ‘Building and growing Buckley’s Bees has been one of the most rewarding adventures of my life. What started as a passion for protecting our pollinators has grown into a mission-driven business that supports biodiversity, educates communities and helps organisations make a real environmental impact.

To be recognised alongside so many inspiring women is truly an honour. This nomination isn’t just about me - it’s a celebration of the incredible team, partners, clients and supporters who believe in the work we do and the importance of giving native bees the space and care they deserve.

🐝 Here’s to championing small businesses, sustainability and the power of purpose-driven entrepreneurship.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far. I’m excited for what’s ahead!’

We know many beekeepers have faced heartbreaking losses this winter and we’re thinking of every one of you.

Our colonies are raised from long‑standing British breeding stock, selected for strength, resilience and suitability to our climate. We’ve never imported bees, because we believe the future of beekeeping here depends on protecting and strengthening our own native honey bee, not replacing it with non‑native subspecies.

By choosing British‑bred bees, you’re helping safeguard the genetics, health and sustainability of bees across the UK. 🧡

Let’s protect our British honey bee together 🐝

This little moment captures something incredibly i This little moment captures something incredibly important happening in early spring.

🌼 Dandelions are often dismissed as weeds, but for many insects they’re one of the first dependable meals of the year. Their early nectar and pollen help honey bees build strength after winter, support queen bumblebees as they establish new colonies and sustain a wide range of pollinating insects emerging from hibernation.

Using weed killers on dandelions doesn’t just remove a flower; it removes a lifeline. These chemicals can harm or kill insects directly and the loss of forage weakens pollinator populations already under pressure. Allowing dandelions to bloom is a simple, science‑backed way to support biodiversity and it starts right on our lawns and verges.

Let your gardens bloom and feed pollinators that so desperately depend on these important food sources! 🌼🐝🦋
