What an incredible morning! Buckley’s Bees hit the national airwaves this week as we joined Sky News live from the apiary to talk about the “buzz” we’re creating in workplaces across the UK.
Our CEO, Emma Buckley, and Chief Beekeeper, David, took the Sky News team behind the scenes to show how beekeeping is becoming a secret weapon for employee wellbeing and corporate sustainability.
“It’s about bees famously associated with being busy… but apparently they can help workers relax… I’d love to visit this, although I would probably wear one of those protective suits!” — Sky News Presenter
From the Hive to the Headlines
During the segment, we discussed how our corporate apiaries help employees disconnect from the ‘heavy’ news and reconnect with nature. Whether it’s through our lunchtime workshops or simply watching the bees through our hive-cams, businesses are finding that beekeeping is a powerful way to bring teams together and support mental health.
We even suggested that the Sky News studios might need a few bees of their own—though we might have to convince the presenters to jump into a bee suit first!
Is your workplace ready for a little “Bee Therapy”? If you’re a business looking to boost your sustainability credentials and support employee wellbeing, we’d love to help you install and manage your own hives (suit included!).
