Buckley’s Bees Goes Live on Sky News!

What an incredible morning! Buckley’s Bees hit the national airwaves this week as we joined Sky News live from the apiary to talk about the “buzz” we’re creating in workplaces across the UK.

Our CEO, Emma Buckley, and Chief Beekeeper, David, took the Sky News team behind the scenes to show how beekeeping is becoming a secret weapon for employee wellbeing and corporate sustainability.

“It’s about bees famously associated with being busy… but apparently they can help workers relax… I’d love to visit this, although I would probably wear one of those protective suits!”Sky News Presenter

From the Hive to the Headlines

During the segment, we discussed how our corporate apiaries help employees disconnect from the ‘heavy’ news and reconnect with nature. Whether it’s through our lunchtime workshops or simply watching the bees through our hive-cams, businesses are finding that beekeeping is a powerful way to bring teams together and support mental health.

We even suggested that the Sky News studios might need a few bees of their own—though we might have to convince the presenters to jump into a bee suit first!

Is your workplace ready for a little “Bee Therapy”? If you’re a business looking to boost your sustainability credentials and support employee wellbeing, we’d love to help you install and manage your own hives (suit included!).

Buckley’s Bees Featured in The Guardian: The Buzz on Workplace Wellbeing

The article Office buzz: UK employers turn to beehives to boost workplace wellbeing from The Guardian displayed on an iPad.

We are absolutely buzzing to share that Buckley’s Bees was recently featured in The Guardian!

The article, “Office buzz: UK employers turn to beehives to boost workplace wellbeing,” explores how companies are moving beyond standard perks like fruit bowls and gym memberships to embrace nature-based solutions for mental health.

Our founder, Emma Buckley, spoke with The Guardian about the incredible shift we’ve seen.

As Emma told the reporter: “It’s amazing to see the engagement on people’s faces as soon as we start talking about bees: they get completely lost in the world of bees and forget all about their troubles.”

The piece highlights our work with companies like Green Folk Recruitment, who travel to our base near Nantwich in Cheshire to learn the craft of beekeeping, and how we use hive-cams to bring a slice of nature directly to employees’ desks.

A Global Business Trend: LinkedIn News Takes Notice

It wasn’t just the newspapers talking; the story quickly caught the attention of the global business community. LinkedIn News featured the article as a headline story, sparking a massive conversation among professionals, HR leaders and sustainability experts about the future of the workplace.

Why Bees? Why Now?

We are so proud to be at the forefront of this movement, helping businesses build community and support mental health—all while keeping a keen eye on biodiversity and the health of our native pollinators.

As the trend spreads, we remain committed to responsible beekeeping, ensuring that every hive we install is a win for both the employees and the local environment.
